Dust suppression on haul roads, mining benches and construction sites.
Bryn magnesium chloride binds fine particulate to the surface it is applied to, keeping dust down on unpaved haul roads, active mining benches and construction sites. The same flake and brine are used for equestrian arena footing, the market Bryn-It started in before it began serving industrial sites.
2010
Equestrian arena footing
In 2010, Bryn-It was the first to bring magnesium chloride flake to the West Coast for arena dust control. The equestrian market is where the company began, before it grew into a national industrial supplier.
94-97% pellet calcium chloride
De-icing and anti-icing for municipal and highway crews.
CalTrak calcium chloride works at lower temperatures than rock salt, so it stays effective through the cold snaps that leave straight salt useless. Bryn magnesium chloride brine does the anti-icing side of the same job, stopping ice from bonding to pavement in extreme cold before a storm arrives.
Tractor tire ballast
Weight, not just winter.
CalTrak calcium chloride is also used as tractor tire ballast, adding weight and traction to farm and equipment tires. It is one of the uses printed directly on the CalTrak bag's own back label, alongside de-icing and dust control.
Texas and North Dakota
Oilfield work
CalTrak calcium chloride and liquid brine support oil and gas well work in Texas and North Dakota: establishing and maintaining wells, completion and workover fluids, stabilising shale formations, sealing well casings, displacing drilling mud, and drilling fluid density control. Freeze protection keeps fluids working through cold climate operations.
